We are an after-school program to help kids do good.

Katydid Service uses service-based learning to inspire kids to get involved with their communities to help others while not only learning problem-solving and social-emotional skills, but also while having fun.

What is service-based learning?

It is a process of assessing, planning, implementing, and reflecting on a problems and solutions. Kids learn by participating in organized service to meet the needs of their community and foster civic responsibility. Although the below example projects are all done within the classroom or grounds of the school, the reach goes far beyond.

Building community gardens
Packing food for local food drives
Making and gathering animal foster supplies
Energy Consumption
National Park projects
Help hotline lists
